Richmond is a city in California, United States. When the original bike-share operator in Richmond suddenly shut down, the city was left without a key transportation option. Instead of abandoning the project, Richmond took control—but they needed a partner to operate and maintain the system efficiently.

This is where MaaS comes in: The city owns the bikes, but operations, technology, and service are fully managed under an ongoing contract.

As of now, Richmond owns more than 60 e-bikes across ten hubs in the city. Today provides Richmond with a dedicated community manager, to handle the operations and daily contact.
